Charles Dickens is one of the most famous writers in the history
of English Literature. His works of fiction are still as loved
and widely read as when they were first published. The enduring
popularity of his books is a testament to his literary genius,
inspiring the imagination of generations of readers. His
impressive body of work has earned him a high place in world
literature. February 7th, 2012 was the 200th
birth anniversary of Charles Dickens. In commemoration of his
200th birth year, the Literary Seminary of our
university is conducting two days programme for the school
students with the purpose of honoring this great writer and
bringing his work to the notice of the next generation.
This is aimed at school
students from classes 8th to 12th.
The fest will feature the following events,

Story writing

Riddle of the Sphinx
The event will
also feature a screening of the movie “Oliver Twist”, based on a
book by Charles Dickens of the same name, which will be followed
by discussion.
The event will be conducted on the 30th and 31st
of July.
