About the event:

The International Conference on Architectural Anthropology – The people ,place, culture and the built through time named VISTARA 2019 is organized by Centre for Architectural Anthropology- CENTRE FOR EXCELLENCE of Faculty of Architecture.VISTARA 2019 offers an environment to academicians, researchers and practitioners to discuss the academic discourse, emerging trends in the field and current research in relation to People, place, culture and the built. The conference provides a platform for the intellectuals from various fields and disciplines to share knowledge and experiences.

Objectives:

Architectural Anthropology provides an understanding of the social and cultural importance of architecture, as well as of the characteristics of an anthropological approach to its study. Employing a holistic and methodological process as approach to architecture, it considers the dynamic interrelationship of men, material, social and symbolic aspects of all forms of buildings and settlements, regardless of their size, function, form and geographical, environmental or cultural context.
