Advanced Remote Sensing and Machine Learning for Environmental Sustainability
Organized by Centre for Advanced REsearch in Environment and Remote Sensing (CAREER)
Under Department of Civil Engineering in association with lead scientist from
MoES -DRDO-GSI-ISRO and lead organization in India and abroad
24th June 2022 to 5th July 2022
About CAREER Centre :
The Centre for Advanced REsearch in Environment and Remote Sensing is being established during 4th Feb 2019 under the benevolence of Er A.C.S Arunkumar President, Dr. MGR ERI. Over the past 3 years, the Centre has been responsible for conducting various funded research projects and capacity building activities in the field of Geospatial technology and sustainable environment. CAREER has extremely dedicated multi-disciplinary trained professionals who can deliver thriving, practical solutions based on accurate data supported by a rich database and reliable mapping derived from using satellite technology and GIS tools extensively.
Scope of the event:
We are conducting this Faculty development program to introduce you to advancements in Environmental Remote Sensing Technology. There are various aspects of machine learning and its importance in the present scenario so that one can create an entirely new concept or solution to solve natural resource management problems. In previous years, more than 600 participants attended our capacity building programs entitled "Remote sensing applications and current trends in machine learning" and "Advancements in Environmental Remote Sensing and Machine Learning". The attendance generated by the system showed that participants came from 17 states of the country and also from outside the country.
Our CAREER Centre is organizing a ten days FDP on "Advanced Remote Sensing and Machine Learning for Environmental Sustainability" in association with lead scientists from MoES (NCCR,INCOIS), DRDO, ISRO,GSI and leading academic institutions from abroad in order to benefit the researchers and faculty. The dates are 24 th June 2022 to 5th July 2022.
Who can participate?
Research Scholars, UG PG Students, Academic Faculty and Industry Professional Members and Self employed
Dr. Ish Mohan Bahuguna
Deputy Director, Space Application Centre
ISRO - Ahmedabad
