         Impact Crater :

An impact crater is a circular
         depression in the surface of

         a solid astronomical object formed
by the hypervelocity impact of a

         smaller object.

The Kuiper belt is a circumstellar
disc in the outer Solar System,
extending from the orbit of Neptune
                                                                           at 30 astronomical units to
approximately 50 AU from the Sun. It

is similar to the asteroid belt, but is
far larger—20 times as wide and
                                                                           20–200 times as massive.

         Oort Cloud:

         The Oort cloud, sometimes called
         the Öpik–Oort cloud, first described

in 1950 by the Dutch astronomer

Jan Oort, is a theoretical concept of
a cloud of predominantly icy plane-

         tesimals proposed to surround the
         Sun at distances ranging from

         2,000 to 200,000 AU.
