Dr.M.G.R.Educational and Research Institute offers
several skill-oriented courses which is a part of NEP.
Students are being trained in various skill
development courses like automobiles, robotics, hotel
management, Internet of things, etc. Students are also
given hands-on exposure through mini-projects,
industrial visits, and field visits by which students
identify their skills to fabricate new projects and also
learn the concepts through experiential learning.
Experiential learning is the focus of our university.
Dr. MGR ERI is also providing many skill-based
certificate courses for the students through which
they will be trained on many practical real-time
skills.
Programmes including webinars and seminars are
offered to encourage Indian language learning and
understand the Indian cultural values. Curriculums of
many programmes are designed in such a way that
they impart Indian traditional knowledge to students.
Cultural values in Indian tradition are taught to
Business students to imbibe value orientation while
in business. In order to promote the local language,
art and culture, various literary activities are
conducted and field trips to local heritage
sites/museums are also conducted.
Our University is implementing outcome based
education for various programmes specially in
engineering courses, which are designed keeping in
mind the regional and global requirements. Outcome
based educated is implemented with clearly stated
Programme Outcomes, Programme Specific
Outcomes and Course Outcomes. We have displayed
Programme Outcomes, Programme Specific
Outcomes and Course Outcomes on our website and
prominent places in the departments. All courses are
designed with outcomes focused on cognitive
abilities like Remembering, Understanding,
Applying, Analysing, Evaluating and Creating.
Due to Covid 19 pandemic, digital platforms are
widely used by the educational institutions for
engaging classes, conducting conferences and
meetings. During the pandemic, our institute has
successfully imparted all its course content delivery
in online mode and also conducted online
