Rector’s Message



                                                   I am extremely happy that Dr.MGR ERI is establishing
                                                   “Dr .MGR-ACS SPACE TECH NOLOGY CENTRE” to
                                                   carry out research and developmental activities towards
                                                   strengthening the country’s space and geospatial
                                                   sectors. Our University has joined the Prime Minister’s
                                                   mission of launching 75 Students’ built Satellites to
                                                   commemorate the nations platinum jubilee celebrations
                                                   of Indian Independence. This mission will improve the
                                                   efficiency of communications, monitoring and telemetric
                                                   evaluations, which will contribute to a wide range of
                                                   applications such as disaster mitigation, forestry,
                                                   fisheries, healthcare, education, agriculture and solutions
                                                   that are boundless everywhere and are for everyone.

                                                   The great visionaries, Our Respected Chairman and the
              B.E(Mech.), M.E.(Prod.), Ph.d(Mech-Met), F.I.E.,
                    M.I.I.M., F.I.S.T.E., F.I.S.N.T.   President are encouraging our students and faculty in
                                    RECTOR (R&D)   developing the Satellite namely  “Dr.MGR-ACS
            Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institiute
                                                   Satellite” at a cost of Rs.3.00 Crore.
                                                   Further this centre will carry out activities to strengthen
                                                   the University’s relationship with various academic and
                                                   research institutions in the country. This centre’s efforts
                                                   to bring out bi-monthly magazine namely,”Dr.MGR-ACS
                                                   SPACE EXPLORER” will be very much useful for
                                                   students and faculty to learn about the recent
                                                   developments and innovations in the field of Space
                                                   Technology. My congratulations and best wishes to the
                                                   Satellite development team.
