5. CONCLUSION

Additional Information :

Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute University was started with a vision of providing a better
foothold for the students of today to face the challenges. Being aware of the demand that is placed on the youth
today, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute University has preserved to nurture and groom young
men and women through Engineering, Medical, Dental and Humanities and Sciences.

Dr. MGR ERI is highly sought after by the local community for quality higher education and it also well known
for its cultural and heritage consciousness. All our Programmes are based on Flexible Credit System,
facilitating the students to complete their degree course within the prescribed period of study with better grade.
Foreign languages are incorporated in curriculum. Curriculum is designed to bridge the industry-institution
Gap.

Many exchange programmes are done with foreign Universities encouraging students for overseas education
and also provides overseas internship and conference by giving financial support. Our university also provides
separate urban health center to improve the standard of life of the people.

The University provides industry relevant skill-based education to students in order to meet the rising demand
in the retail sector job market.Our University has collaboration with Industries established through
Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) benefitting our students to get industrial exposure.

ARI-Advanced Research Institute (Main Research Centre of the University) conducts Research with funded
projects of Both Government and Private agencies like IHRI, CSIR, CVRDE, DRDO.

Dr.MGR ERI has created professionals, entrepreneurs, writers, mangers who are contributing wealth of
knowledge and experience the development globally. Eminent and experienced professors with Doctorate
qualification are guiding research scholars in various disciplines. Our Institute witnessed many Guinness World
Records. A well-established Entrepreneurship Development Cell is functioning in our university to guide our
students to become successful Entrepreneurs.

The University is consistently thriving to scale new heights in all spheres of teaching, learning and research.
The University delivers the best of the best as per the expectations of the society at large, and works effectively
to realize the vision and mission of the University.

Concluding Remarks :

Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, is endowed with an exceptional system of academic and
infrastructural facilities, consisting of fourteen faculties, and sixty nine departments, catering currently to
almost 16950 (approx) students in as many as five divisional sectors, pertaining to Medicine, Engineering,
Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry, Architecture besides a variety of other disciplines.

With a qualified and well experienced faculty totaling around 1072 members and a reasonably good faculty
student ratio of 1:16, the University is bound to do excellently well, with the New Education Plan proposed to
be introduced in the Academic years 2022 onwards.
