7.1.11 Institution celebrates / organizes national and international commemorative days, events and
festivals

Response:

Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute is one of the leading centers of excellence in Tamil Nadu, Our
institution has a practice of celebrating national / as well as international days to foster, inculcate the sense
of contribution to students nationally and globally. Celebrating these days is a step towards indoctrinating
patriotism & nationalism in the young generation. This is a holistic approach to create a responsible
citizen. The Faculty, Staff and Students of the institution all come together under one umbrella to celebrate
these occasions and spread the message of Unity, Peace, Love and Happiness throughout. Throughout the
academic years different days are celebrated by students with guidance of teachers which help them to
know about different cultures and to cognitively imagine India as a nation. The academic calendar is
brimming with important events which show enthusiasm of this institution in celebrating many national as
well as international days and commemorative events and festival. Teacher’s day is celebrated every year
