IFCA International Chefs meet and Competition 2013 was held in Chandigarh from 05.12.2013 to 07.12.2013. The Faculty of Hotel Management & Catering Technology of Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute University played a significant role in organizing the international event.
Chefs of repute and international reckoning graced the occasion and took active part in the event in order that their expert knowledge could be initiated to the students and others. Among the international Chefs who were at the event there were Chef Gissur Gudmondson, President of WACS overseeing the Culinary Competition & Chef Thomas Gugler. The participants took great interest and worked to get the honours of the day. There was therefore a stiff competition.
As a part of the event on the cultural side a traditional dance was organized which made the event more colourful. Mr. Prabhu, Head of the Department, Faculty of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was around looking after the day’s happenings and overseeing the administrative aspects of the event.
