I have been lucky to study in Faculty of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Dr.MGR Educational & Research Institute University. Great it was. The facilities, teaching, practical sessions, supporting labs are all very good. I have gained professional confidence here. The syllabus is given high importance and the faculty members have been very nice – their knowledge and experience very good. We have learned much with knowledge to apply. Industry experience, events, National & International Conferences, Seminars, Guest lecture sessions by industry experts took us to a professional level. We have all gained knowledge and confidence to show practical skills in the field. The college gave enough enough space for Sports and Recreation too. Placements are one the college focuses from the beginning. All the activities – teaching and coaching are driven with good placements in mind. I can make a flying start having degree in my hand. I am very glad to say that learning at Faculty of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Dr.MGR Educational & Research Institute University, was very good. The college has the right kind of facilities and equipments required for good learning. The right blend of Theory and Practical sessions that the curriculum and syllabus provided is a plus point. My experience in HMCT was special. A Good college with very good and caring Faculty members. I am happy that I joined the course in Dr. MGR University. The syllabus has been very good covering lot of things that HMCT students show learn and be updated. I also felt that the syllabus is updated with industry practices which change. I had participated in several workshops, seminars, lecture sessions. The learning has been superb since industry experts were from National and International industry locations. Good learning scope. Very good and Advance Kitchen with well furnished kitchen. Faculty members knowledge and their experience – something amazing. Very good learning was possible. Industrial Exposure Training was in 5 start Hotel and a Resort. Felt the time for this could be extended. It was really great. Events and out-of-the-college learning something extraordinary. I am very happy that I had studied in HMCT Dr. MGR E & RI University. I did the course of Hotel Management and Catering Technology quite satisfactorily. The college where one studies definitely matters. Because the college is the building, various facilities, faculty members, supporting office staff and the Head of the institution. HMCT gave me several opportunities for my practical learning. Theory classes were great. Participation opportunities in Lectures, Workshops handled by industry experts were many in the last 3 years. In Dr.MGR Educational & Research Institute University, I had experienced them and I feel it definitely changed my life’s outlook. It has been great studying in HMCT of Dr. MGR E & RI University. The infrastructure of the college and the faculty members are very good. The faculty members were available all the time to guide us. The Syllabus which was quite comprehensive could drive us to learn a lot. My experience of Industrial Exposure Training in Taj Club House was, I should say, the hallmark. In fact, I started feeling when the training was coming to an end. The seminars, Lectures, Workshops of industry experts all through the 3 years gave us lot of confidence and changed our attitude. I feel Economics is the best UG degree option for pursuing higher education as well as to take up a job after degree. A computer skill certificate – like M.S. office will help a great deal if you have a good BA Economics degree. One can write competitive exam aiming to get a government job. Economics provides strong foundation knowledge and hence the graduates can take up a private job also to have a career growth. I am happy to take admission in Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University). In the Department of Economics, the faculty members are quite good, qualified, dedicated and they use different methods of teaching and they do a lot of activities for students to learn well. Well prepared notes with right key-words is the highlight and it is easy for students to face exams with the right approach. The department faculty members conduct internal assessments at least 2-3 times in each semester and that provides a good foundation for the students. Syllabus for the Course is good and well covered

I feel that there cannot be another alternative to Economics as a UG option in Humanities discipline. Doing well in B.A. Economics, you can opt for higher studies if you want; or if you want to take up a job in a private company, you can do so with a certification in Computer Skills – MS Word, etc., and study parellelly part-time and grow steadily. Excellent career could be built. Or after Economics UG with good marks you can write competitive exams – attempt all – and aim to get into Bank, Railway or a Government department - State or Central. B.A. Economics provides a strong foundation for all of them. Regarding my joining Dr.MGR E&R I University for my Degree Course, I feel I took the right decision. It is so good here, the department is very strong with resources – faculty members are very knowledgeable, friendly and have good ideas about making knowledge reach students and make it application oriented. Lot of efforts are taken and activities are done for good learning by students. The Assignments and Assessments they do periodically make students steadily strong and prepare them well for Semester exams. Syllabus is well set with all important subjects, which are applicable for employment too. I am happy that I will be completing my Final year this year here.

Economics is the best UG Course if we want to do PG and further studies. If you see the qualification of the any top officials, most of them would have studied Economics degree. If we are not studying further, B.A. Economics degree is still enough for job requirement only a skill course like Computer application – MS office will be enough as added qualification. While in Final year of BA Economics, we can take coaching for competitive exam and can write TNPSC/UPSC/Bank or Railway exam, aiming for a Government job, after finishing degree. A good Economics graduate can perform well in the competitive exams because of the knowledge that they gain. In Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University) - The Department of Economics, I found in the last two years, the faculty members are very good in their efforts, dedication and the method they adopt for teaching. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in educating students. I am very happy with the way they prepare the students and make them learn concepts and get practical knowledge. And the Assignments and assessments that they do, the keyword based notes that they give are really helpful to prepare and perform well in their exams. I strongly feel that Graduation in Economics is the best for one to be knowledgeable and highly resourceful, as Economics builds a strong foundation for higher education or you can also be a good contestant for a job with just the good Degree in Economics. Even many seniors often told the same thing to me. I realize now that they right. After Graduation in Economics (BA Economics) or while in the III year, students could join coaching classes for TNPSC or UPSC exam. The department has well qualified and more importantly the professors here adopt different methodologies to teach the students and help them understand and visualize whatever is learnt. Towards the approach of exams easily understandable Notes with Key words are provided for all subjects and I found revision and remembering was easy to perform well in the exams. Assignments, assessments in every semester has made us strong subject wise and confident. Concepts, theoretical and practical aspects are well covered. Happy with the syllabus content, it is neither overloaded, nor missing any Important requirements. It is well measured in meeting the Requirements

I feel students should not have hesitation to opt for BA Economics course as the UG Degree option, as I feel and seniors keep advising, saying that the best foundation is sure if you do B.A. Economics as UG Degree. It is the most generic subject based course, that it covers range of subjects knowledge in Humanities. You can opt to do Economics as UG for either higher studies or even if you want to do job after the degree, doing computer skill course, such as MS office or some specialization for a private job. You can write any competitive exam aiming to get a Government job. Economics will provide strong base, which will not happen with any other course. For higher studies, there cannot be a better subject than Economics. I joined Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University) and I am happy about the institution. The Faculty members in Department of Economics do lot of activities and make the concepts very easy to understand. The whole department and the professors focus much on effective coaching making students learn. Effective lectures and assessment based Notes are provided for students to learn and gain knowledge, and at the same time, making it easy for students to write the exams doing revision easily. There is lot of encouragement for participation in Webinars and other online knowledge sessions. I have participated in several webinars and got certification. I spent much time for improving myself well. Research project is a part of the Syllabus and right encouragement and direction are given in early research concepts. Syllabus for the entire course is well prepared with the involvement of External subject experts conducting Board of studies, and getting approved from Academic Council.

According to me, B.A. Economics is the best course that you can opt, if you are not looking at a non-science and non-engineering course, because we can build our career on a good degree with Economics. Economics offers best base knowledge and skills and it opens multi-paths for career growth. One other advantage is - only graduation with good Economics score could get a job for you, which can be very encouraging and growth oriented. I am also glad that I could secure admission in Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University). The Department of Economics, the faculty is taking great interest in teaching in different ways and the students need not worry about learning. The faculty members take the responsibility for students learning, as long as the students co-operate in attendance and show interest in learning. The faculty are well qualified and are good teachers . Notes with right key words that they are giving, make students remember easily the concepts which are learnt in class. The syllabus covers good range of subjects under Economics which is the reason for knowledge that students gain. It is a well set one covering essential aspects and is well balanced.

To be frank, Economics gives very good scope in both ways - for higher study and also to go for a job after the degree. The strength of the syllabus, its coverage, and the knowledge & skills learned by the students – if they have good attendance and interest to learn, will greatly help Economics students and they will be in front line in any competition. While in Final year, they can take up any competitive exam TNPSC / UPSC after doing B.A. Economics, and it will be easy for them to have the foundation knowledge for passing Competitive exam with good score and getting placed in a good job Good that I chose to study in Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University). The Department of Economics faculty members are really good and very cooperative. They adopt multiple methods to teach students, since students learn in different methods. Classroom learning happens well and the assignments and other interactive sessions give knowledge and confidence to students. Notes with keywords are quite easy for revision and remembrance to face exams aiming to score well. For all this the Syllabus is very structured for knowledge skills.

I never had any other choice in mind other other than Economics in my UG. B.A. Economics is the best option as UG degree, according to me, for not only higher studies but also writing competitive exams like Bank/Railway/TNPSC/UPSC, etc. for getting a good job in Government departments, bank, railways, etc. . The Course provides knowledge which will be a strong base for any further study or to secure a job in Government or in private sector. With a certification for Compute knowledge and skill we can get a private company job, where we can work well and also do further studies, part time and develop our career. I wanted to join particularly Dr. MGR E&R Institute (Deemed University) - The Department of Economics, Faculty members and other seniors are all very kind and helpful here. They provide good education and they are also friendly to help students who struggle. They do many activities and their approach is oriented towards interactive learning. They systematically prepare the students through assignments and assessment during the semester. The lectures and the notes are very good. Syllabus is good well covered and everything here is student oriented. It is a good experience studying in Dr. MGR E&R I.

For me since I was very clear about my career plan, I straight away took B.E. Economics as my UG Degree option. B.A. Economics gives 360 degree scope for multiple options for both higher studies and also if one wants to take up employment with just the Degree. Economics is a subject which covers concepts of all other disciplines in humanities. If one gets a good UG degree in Economics, it is easy for them to take any line and progress steadily in their career path. B.A. Economics as UG is according to me a foundation-UG-Degree, which strengthens your higher studies and also enriches your first take in employment to grow at a good pace. I feel students joining Degree Course in third Group (Humanities) should think about what idea they are having about their career. It is because, except any special area or a field, particularly, it is always better to opt for B.A. Economics, as this course and subject will mean better for your higher studies and also employment. The foundation that Economics UG gives is very strong. You can study further higher after you finish Economics UG, or with Computer knowledge and skills you can take up a job in Private sector and study further part time, or by writing so many Competitive exams you can aim to get in Bank, Railways or any Government department – State or Central. For any option that you have, Economics UG is the best base and foundation. Students should understand this. Dr.MGR E&R I University is good. In providing knowledge as foundation and the skills, no other Degree in Humanities and only B.A. Economics gives the best opportunity. It could be for a Job, if higher education is not the option. B.A. Economics Degree with a pass in TNPSC /UPSC gets placement in the Government & departmental positions. Economics based knowledge helps perform well in the job and also in the growth.
