The Department of Food Science, Nutrition & Dietetics has laboratories that support the subject studies, maintained by skilled technical experts, in which industrial methods of food processing can be realistically reproduced and food products can be developed, tested and analyzed. The faculty members are qualified, experienced and dedicated to ensure that the students acquire the knowledge and learn performable skills imparted to make them competent and confident about their knowledge and skills Students undergo three years of Bachelors Degree program, where the curriculum is framed to gain adequate theoretical knowledge on Food Science, Human Physiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Microbiology, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Public, Prevention and Therapeutic Nutrition in the required depth and spread supported by strong practical skills which makes them confident enough to take up jobs to deliver the desired outcomes fit enough for the opportunities available in food sector. During their tenure of three years in the degree course, they undergo quality workshops, internships in food industries and health sector, which help them acquire knowledge and skills that they could employ competently and confidently.
