MINORITY COMMITTEE

Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute Deemed to be University has established a committee with the purpose of empowering the minority communities in the University has been very much keen to provide services to the educational and cultural needs of the Minority community along with other caste, creed and Nationality. The Minority committee basically helps minority students including Christian, Muslim etc. for their academic development.

Objectives of Minority committee

• To enhance equal opportunities for education of minorities.
• To facilitate financial support for the students from minority communities from governmental agencies and other sources.
• To function as a Grievance Redressal Cell for the grievances of minority community students of the college and render them necessary help in solving their problems.
• To collect reports and information regarding the GoI orders on the various aspects of education, training for minority community students and circulate to the students for their awareness.
• To circulate State Government and University Grants Commission's decisions.
• To support and empower them with equal rights.
• To help them to convey their issues confidentially and get solved.
