Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Deemed to be University has brought in to service of the public with necessary approval from 2003. The Ministry of Human Resources (MHRD), Govt. of India has graded Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute – Deemed too be University under Graded Autonomy Status in Category – II. The University is accredited by NAAC and accorded with "A+” Grade (3.48 out of 4) rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body under UGC. Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute has grant approval to establish a University OFF – CAMPUS at ARNI, Tiruvannamalai District by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Govt. of India in the academic year 2024-2025 And by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi for the academic year 2025-2026.
