Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a movement for Clean India drive initiated by the Prime Minister of India, Sri Narendra Modi. As part of the National movement, which has been taking a popular stride to bring in a major change in India, Dr. Tamil Isai Soundararajan, Tamil Nadu BJP leader, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam, Ex.MP & MLA and the founder leader of New Justice party and Chancellor of Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute University, Er. A.C.S. Arun Kumar, President of the University, Secretary – Thiru A. Ravikumar, Vice Chancellor, Dr.K Meer Mustafa Hussain, Rector Dr.G. Gopalakrishnan, Registrar – Dr.C.B. Palanivelu, University officials and Professors participated and cleaned the Chennai Central Railway Station, on the 2nd December, 2014.
The initiative also became an inspiration for the group of institutions to ensure Cleanliness drive in all the member institutions with all seriousness.
