CARVING WORKSHOP – 2011

Fruit and Vegetable carving is emerging as an important discipline in the hospitality industry. There is a great demand for trained carvers in the industry. As a commitment to make our students more skilled, and to meet the demand for the food carving, the Faculty of Hotel Management and Catering Technology organized a ONE day Carving Workshop on the 2nd June, 2011.

Chef Vinoth Kumar was invited to present the Carving Techniques to our students. Students were exposed to every aspect of carving such as choosing the fruit, cutting skills, carving techniques, art of peeling and presentation. Every student was made to carve and it turned out to be a very useful workshop for the interested students.
