IFCA Culinary Competition 2012, Chennai was held at Chennai Trade Centre on 23-08-2012 to 25-08-2012 The event which was organized by Indian Federation of Culinary Associations was scheduled as one of the national events.Chennai Mayor – Sri Saidai Duraisamy graced the occasion agreeing to be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Dr. Chef Soundararajan inaugurated the Competition formally. The winners in the competition were presented the awards on the stage by the Chennai Mayor – Sri Saidai Duraisamy. Chef Soundararajan, Chef John Sloane, Chef Elango Rajendran, Chef Sheetaram Prasad and Chef Jugesh Arora shared the stage and took care of all the Competition guidelines. The entire administrative affairs of the Competition were supervised by Mr. Prabhu, Head of the Department, Faculty of Hotel Management & Catering Technology of Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute University
On the occasion of award Ceremony for the competition, Mr. Prabhu received the award of appreciation from Chef John Sloane, Vice President of World Association of Chef Societies.
