The students and the staff of the faculty of Hotel Management and Catering Technology of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute University together carried out a herculean task of making 17000 Laddus of 90 grams each. The huge task of preparing 17000 Laddus started with the procurement of ingredients and ensuring the availability of all paraphernalia. The special task of preparing the Laddus was done on the occasion of the University’s Chancellor’s birthday. The Laddus prepared were distributed among all the departments and colleges managed by the University.
The planning, execution and distribution revealed to the students a great deal of clarity on all issues from the start till the end. The execution turned out as an experience and one which they could document for planning of more such future escapades. The students realized that tough tasks such as that could be comfortably completed with proper planning, execution and teamwork.
