The fun fare – the most sought after by the people of Chennai – is Madras Market. The 6th edition of the event was held at Universal Kingdom, East Coast Road, Chennai, on the 5th and 6th September, 2015. Two days of unlimited shopping music, food, entertainment, creative workshops, kid zone, art, adventure sports and lot more took away the people from their routines to an enchanting mental world. The event was organized keeping an eye on portraying culture, tradition, fashion and new innovations with festive looks all around.
Faculty of Hotel Management & Catering Technology of Dr. MGR Educational & Research Institute University stall put up at the event venue was quite buzz with a number of activities. Street Play on Healthy Kids & Healthy Future, Amazing Food Fact Walls, Ancestral Food Legacy Illustrations, Food Quiz, Tourism Quiz, Herbal and Millet Food Counter, Modern Farming Trends, Kids Drawing Competition, Identification of Greens, Sensorial, Food Adulteration, Cup Cake Decoration / Frosting, Vegetable & Food carving, Kids Lunch Box Menu, Singing Chef – Dance-traditional, western, bollywood, Dining etiquettes and table setting techniques, Food Zone – Relish Foods from around the country were all there under one roof
