A one day Workshop was conducted on “Skills that win jobs” by Mrs. Mary Joseph, Training Manager, Courtyard by Marrriot, Chennai, at the college campus on 16th August, 2013.
The workshop covered various macro and micro aspects regarding skills that actually win in situations. Selection for jobs also is made possible when students exhibit the learned skills. Skills are the applied knowledge meticulously and with dexterity. Skills actually augment the value of knowledge and give it a halo effect when performed well. The workshop highlighted on how to become skillful.
The session was very informative interactive and invigorating and the students realized the importance of skill perfection and what they need to do for that. For a chef the skill is not just knowing the recipe well but preparing and presenting the food which should be tasty and well presented
