equality and also duties and the directive principles of all Indian citizens, a compulsory core paper namely
“The Indian constitution “ has been offered to all our Engineering students. Detailed knowledge about
human values is a mandatory requirement for an engineer to respect fellow humans, analyze the different
risk perspectives, and reduce the risk in the working environment. To impart the knowledge of human
values to students, a compulsory core paper “Universal Human Values” has been included in our
curriculum. By studying an audit course “Disaster management in the Postgraduate level the empathy
behavior of our students will be kindled and they will serve the society with a humanitarian mind.
The main objective of the engineering profession is problem solving and engineers have to be stress-free to
satisfy the objective. To produce a “stress-free” engineering graduate, we have introduced an audit course
“Stress management by yoga” which will prepare our students to face any type of challenge in life without
being stressed. Environmental sustainability is the biggest challenge everyone is facing in the world and is
the key strategy that every human being should contribute effectively to arrest the exploitation of natural
resources in terms of pollution. Our university also wanted to be a part of protecting the environment and
made the students study a course “Environmental science” in the first year entry level itself so that students
acquire knowledge of the Environment and Ecosystem & Biodiversity, and different types of pollution, etc.
This will make the students contribute voluntarily towards environmental sustainability to make our
mother earth a clean and safe place to live.
