Library also offers a wide range of e-resources through MGRERI consortium which are extended 24/7
services via remote access facilities to all stakeholders. The University is enriched with an arena of
enhanced features to facilitate the Faculty and the student community to utilize the Library resources with
the integrated management System. KOHA software is implemented for the automation of Library and bar
access code is utilized which is updated on timely basis. The software has acquisition, cataloging etc.
Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is used to check the status of the book. E-Resources from
DELNET is subscribed for accessing e-Journals, e-books, and databases. Special visual Library is equipped
wherein the special cases in Medical Field are learnt visually.
The pandemic in the year 2020-21 has made teaching highly challenging as the teaching staff had to utilize
online delivery platforms like google classroom, zoom, google meet etc., Learning contents in the form of
ppt, pdf, google forms are prepared by the scheduled staffs and they are uploaded in the Google class room
for each year students on the scheduled time. The link for the classes was also posted in the Google class
room. The students can download the subject notes for each subject from the respective google class room.
Undergraduates were also given demonstrations about tooth carving, dental materials through online
platforms and periodic assessments were conducted through google forms. Postgraduate seminars, journal
clubs, case presentations and discussions were carried out through these online platforms.
Computer–assisted-learning (CAL) for animal experiments and Virtual labs are used to conduct labs
through simulations.
