Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Provost regularly organize top management meetings and Faculty level
meetings and undertake the review of working of the institute. Director Research and Development
leads the Centre for Excellence on New Gen IEDC for various innovative projects. Teaching and non-
teaching staff provide technical and required support to the Deans to fulfil their responsibilities.

The functioning of the Jt. Registrar (Events, Publication, and Alumni Office) is presented as a case
study for successful leadership and participative management.

The Deans and Deputy Deans for the aforementioned areas collaborate with faculty members from
various Departments to achieve their pre-defined goals.

Student Support

M.G.R. MAGIC Association and Dr. M.G.R. Alumni Association provide decentralised student
support. The M.G.R. MAGIC Association manages events and executes department activities related
to teaching learning, OBE, Research, Universal Human Values, and Gender Equity, for both
teaching and non-teaching staff members, as well as students.

Research Publications

The Research promotion is taken over by CVR Journal Club, MGR cluster activities, M.G.R. Patent
and Licensing cell. The CVR Journal Club Coordinators organise the departmental journal club
meetings and monthly appreciation from Registrar to all faculty members who publish research
articles. Annual M.G.R. Research Award function is organised to appreciate research talents and
to motivate the researchers, the winners are honoured by the following awards: Founder
Chancellor’s Research Excellence Award, President’s Award for Research Attainment, Sir C. V.
Raman Research Publication Premium Award and Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Research Publication
Award.

The team extends its serviceable hand towards UN- Sustainable development Goals which is in line
with UGC stipulations for Green and Smart campus initiatives through MECSTAR Consultancy
