       6.3 Faculty and Staff Empowerment Strategies

          6.3.1 The institution has effective welfare measures for teaching and non-teaching staff, and other
          beneficiaries.


          Response:


          There are several welfare schemes available for teaching and non- teaching staff. The opportunities for
          professional development and welfare measures for teachers have resulted in negligible number of teachers
          resigning or retiring from the University prior to superannuation. Our faculty attrition rate is perhaps the
          lowest among academic institutions. Free medical facilities, insurance coverage, salary advance, travel
          sponsorship, financial support for publication in reputed journals etc. Financial support is provided for
          attending conference, seminars and workshops, excellent pay package, financial incentives for acquiring
          additional qualifications, long leave when required, flexible working hours on need basis, awards for
          acquiring additional qualifications are the other perks available for Teaching and Non-Teaching staff.
