4.4.4 Facilities for e-content development such as Media centre, audio visual centre, Lecture
Capturing System(LCS), etc.,
Response:
The Media Centre is designed to encourage collaborative learning and interaction & has the resources for
developing e-content.
The media centre has state of the art facilities. Majority of the learning and teaching processes are
converted to electronic format for the easy consumption and assimilation of the students. Audio visual
recording facilities are available everywhere. “The e-content developed by the faculty at both the Media
Centre and Different lecture halls are stored in the library repository and can be accessed online by the
students and other staff.
This media centre helps in developing e-content resources and helps to record the valuable teachings,
principles and skills from the experienced skilful physicians. There is PCs specialised for the processing of
the e-contents. The e-contents developed and delivered by the staffs are recorded and kept for future
references. There are high-definition video cameras, a lightening stand with the voice recorder to record
the video and audio lectures. There are sources to deliver the recordings to the students as well as to the
society. The audio-visual centre is place in the first floor with 10 sq. meter. Large LED tv, CD’S, DVD
player, 20 numbers of Chairs, home theatre and sound proof is available. The videos and audios are played
here.
A separate editing studio is attached to the media centre with High configuration
computers and software, audio mixer, video mixer, mixing equipment’s and software’s for Editing-
Department of anatomy – ELMO visualizer, Pharmacology-animal editing software. The entire Media
