6.5.3 Impact analysis of the various initiatives carried out and used for quality improvement
Response:
Impact analysis of the various initiatives carried out and used for quality improvement
The quality improvement domains were identified and the impact created by institutionalising and
internalising was analysed and the outcome is depicted. In student performance the slow learners and high
achievers were identified and the impact given for Slow learners are Remedial classes, Personal and
academic counselling, Group study with simple notes and question banks to catch up into their peers.
Advanced learners are involved in minor research projects. They were also trained to draft, review and
research paper and encouraged to communicate the same to indexed journals for publication. They were
encouraged to present their papers and posters in conferences and seminars. The outcome is an increase in
the pass percentage of students.
In Teaching Learning process ICT enabled teaching, Experiential and participative learning, e- learning
resources created by faculty members, Clinical hands-on experience, Guest lectures and alumni talk
arranged. Flipped Classes are introduced for selected topics, Quiz, debate or model making are some of the
criteria followed in the interactive learning module (ILM).Dental and Medical Awareness and treatment
camps organised. Students select appropriate resources and IT tools and create activities with
understanding.
