       6.5 Internal Quality Assurance System

          6.5.1 Instituion has a streamlined Internal Quality Assurance Mechanism

          6.5.1 IQAC Mechanism.

          The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University chaired by  the Vice chancellor is followed by a
          composition of members as per the NAAC guidelines. The Quality culture is institutionalised through
          steering committee meetings, quality circle meetings and Quarterly University meetings by fixing agendas
          on various academic criteria and it’s internalised through Departmental meetings. IQAC facilitates the
          institution towards academic excellence consciously, consistently and acts as a catalyst to promote research
          and other academic activities. Quality benchmarks were developed in the beginning of every academic
          year and the outcomes were achieved by internalizing through Departments. IQAC also derives support
          from already existing units like Institute Industry Planning Cell, Sir C.V. Raman Journal club, Magic
          Association, International office relations, Abdul Kalam Centre for Research and Innovation, Dr.M.G.R
          Digital Learning Monitoring cell. Based on the parameters required by NAAC and that highlighted in the
          guidelines of Annual Quality Assurance report the steering committee discusses the areas of shortfalls to
          enhance the overall performance of the Institution. The discussion leads to fixing agendas for the
          University quarterly Meetings. Through quality circle meetings procedures and modalities to collect data
          and information on the set agenda for every quarter University meetings were done. The Departmental
          IQAC meetings were organized to work on the procedures designed by the quality circle and hence the
          agenda designed by the steering committee were internalized by the Departments through quality circles.
          The Director IQAC and the team analyze the minutes of meeting and the data submitted by the
          Departments and present it in the University meeting witnessed by all the members of IQAC Composition,
          which includes stakeholders like Students, Parents, Alumni and external industry experts. Meanwhile
          Faculty training was given in the set agenda through Seminars, Workshops and orientation programs.


          As per the IQAC-AQAR guidelines functions expected from IQAC were adopted with utmost care.


          Function 1: Development and application of quality benchmark.


          Quality Benchmarks were developed in the beginning of the Academic year based on the deliberations of
          the steering committee meeting and also the requirements mandated by UGC. And also applied through the
