Adequate land available for development
Ideal location (in the heart of the city) – good communication and global access
Highly qualified senior executives guiding the affairs (academics)
Sound medical education in all domains
Good leadership guidance at the top level.

Institutional Weakness

Forward planning needs to be stabilized
Slight improvement needed in administrative resources
International policy to attract eminent professors from developed countries
Lack of pedagogical initiatives

Institutional Opportunity

New Education Policy opens up several avenues
Being located in the city, easier approach to International transport / collaborations
Possibilities for investing in more costly projects
Starting of newer industries supported by the University/start ups
Possibilities for teaching / Research collaboration with reputed Foreign Universities
Adequate labs, facilities to enhance Industry tie-up with the University
Develop a policy and follow Academic Credit banking

Institutional Challenge

Locating good industrial partners for effective academic inputs
To diversify into more unconventional areas of Engineering, Science, Medicine and Humanities
To develop into a fully world class research and world class teaching University
To have an MoU with a top class University for joint research programmes, amongst the several MoUs
that have been signed
ODL should be strengthened to achieve global standards of quality
Ensure good student support system
To improve Indian values, languages, knowledge, ethics and traditions in the University educational
system
