Infrastructure and Learning Resources

The campus of our university is spread across vast land area encompassing the academic and hospital
buildings.The affluent medical, dental and paramedical colleges have higher end classrooms, demonstration
rooms and bedside teaching facilities. well furnished and ventilated satellite centers in rural and urban areas
along with government tied up Primary Health centers provide students a community based learning. The
university hospital has integrated medical approach that covers the complementary and alternative medicines of
Indian tradition, Ayush. All the classrooms and teaching rooms or well furnished with ICT facilities.

The Physical education plays a vital role in everyday life. The sports and cultural activities are also a part of the
curriculum. The games facilities include both indoor and outdoor category with gymnasium, yoga centers. The
auditoriums and convention centers provide space for conducting mega cultural events.

The general campus facility is beautifully landscaped with trees, lawns, gardens and fountains. The amenities
within the college and the hostel including the hospital serve the purpose of teaching learning and treatment.
Separate boys and girls hostel and also residential facility for teaching and non teaching staffs are also available
within campus. 24 X 7 working pharmacy, ambulance, security and labs give the patients and students a
protective environment. The equipment and laboratory facilities that are available in the college labs meet the
requirement of the council.

The outpatient and inpatient flow of the hospital gives the students an enriched clinical resource with rare cases.
Post graduates are also exposed to various categories of pathologies. The teaching hospital and labs are
accredited by NABH, NABL, ISO and few other international standard Certifying agencies. The institution
periodically updates its computer availability for students and IT facilities including Wi-Fi. The university
campus is supported with 1GBPS broadband line round the clock. The departmental and Central Library is
strong enough with different titles and sufficient volumes covering all the discipline. Journals with back
volumes are available both as hard and soft copies. The e-content for teaching and learning is also surplus on
the university website for better learning. And finally there are established systems and processes for
maintaining the physical facilities.

Student Support and Progression

Dr MGRERI has adopted various mechanisms for students to improve their skills, career enrichment, alumni
engagement etc. Various associations, societies and clubs with different committees organises these programs
where in which students are equal partners. Good number of students got benefited through the university
scholarships like Founder Chancellor Scholarship, President Scholarship, Special Scholarship and Alumni
Scholarship which reduces the financial burden for the aspiring eligible students motivated them to do higher
education

The various schemes for capability enhancement and skill development implemented through MGR Industry
Institute Planning Cell were designed and organised. The programs organised by the cell helps the students to
be self-confident and helps to get placed in reputed companies. Regular guidance for competitive examinations
and career advancement programs were executed through MGR Career Development Cell. The activities
organised under the cell helped the students to get qualified in state/national level examinations and higher
education examinations.
