Introduction

The Department of Criminology and Forensic Science is an exciting new career oriented professional course with both undergraduate and post graduate programs. The Department specializes in the fields of scientific and forensic investigation of crime, juvenile justice, human rights, financial crimes, cyber forensics, correctional administration, cyber forensics, exploring the nature, consequences and prevention of criminal behavior.

The department has experienced faculties in the field of criminology and forensic science. Graduates will gain knowledge and develop skills to understand the nature of crime, examine crime scene evidence, investigate the crime scene and understand how and why crimes are committed. They will be introduced to both traditional and modern approach of investigations. They will also be trained in document examination, finger print analysis, scientific investigation of fire and homicide. As part of their course, students are also given practical internship experience to institutions like police stations, court, NGOs, prison etc. They will be equipped to work as forensic scientists alongside the police team to achieve justice.
