About CAREER Centre :

The Centre for Advanced REsearch in Environment and Remote Sensing is being established during 4th Feb 2019 under the benevolence of Er A.C.S Arunkumar President, Dr. MGR ERI. Over the past 3 years, the Centre has strengthened its root and responsible for carrying out various funded research projects and capacity building activities in the field of Geospatial technology and sustainable environment. CAREER has extremely committed multi-disciplinary trained professionals who can deliver thriving and practical solutions cantered on accurate data supported by a rich database and reliable mapping prepared extensively using satellite technology and GIS tools.

Scope of the event:

The reason for conducting this Faculty development program is to make you all aware of advancements of Environmental Remote Sensing Technology. Various aspects of machine learning and its importance in the present scenario so that one can quickly come with a new concept or solution that can solve the problems for natural/earth resources management. During previous year there are more than 338 participants registered for our capacity building program entitled "Remote sensing applications and current trends in machine learning” according to the attendance generated by the system there were participants from 17 states of our country and also from abroad.

With the success of the capacity building program of the last year and based on several request from researchers our CAREER Centre is organizing Ten Days FDP entitled "Advancements in Environmental Remote Sensing and Machine Learning" in association with lead scientist from MoES, DRDO, ISRO, GSI and lead academic institutions for the benefit of the researchers and faculty. The dates are 21st to 30th June 2021.
