About the conference
Development in the society through new media and convergence can pave ways to analyses and acknowledge the intricate ways through which media convergence has contributed to development. It is not about equating the relationship to a theory or model, but rather understanding the process that develops the society. It is the communication that deals with the progress of the country in various facets like education, art, literature, politics, gender equality, women empowerment, sustainable development and many more.
In general, new media and convergence for development addresses the way that people talk about development at various levels in a political or sociological manner. As a general statement, development refers to the process of communication that occurs when two or more people talk about how a country or region is progressing. Development through new media and convergence is a term that is often used to specifically refer to the language used to discuss factors of development and how media text may be used effectively.
If the discussion through media landscape paves way for more audience engagement it certainly presents analysts with a variety of new policy challenges. This conference aims at exploring the new media and convergence for development while providing a platform to discuss new policy challenges. In this regard, the conference welcomes original research articles and paper presentations which analyses and advocates media convergence for development.
The Department of Viscom and Animation of our Deemed to be University is conducting an International Conference on New Media and Convergence for Development on 26th and 27th of May, 2022.
Prof. Anubuthi Yadav, HOD, New Media and Technology, IIMC, Delhi, and Dr. Immanuel Selvaraj Bexci, Associate Professor, Faculty of Social Sciences, Lincoln University College , Malaysia, have kindly consented to be Keynote Speakers for the conference.
