One-Week International Virtual Workshop
on
Computational Genomics for NGS Data Analysis
with deep insights into Concepts, Methods, and Applications

Date:26th-30th November 2022

Dear All,

Greetings!!!

Academic staff College of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute University in collaboration with Delhi School of Public Health, Institute of Eminence New Delhi, DBC I4 Center Deshbandhu College(University of Delhi), Hansraj College, North Campus (University of Delhi), NyBerMan Bioinformatics Europe, Orleans, France, and Quanta Calculus Pvt.LTD, India organizing a ONE-WEEK INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON COMPUTATIONAL GENOMICS FOR NGS DATA ANALYSIS with deep insights on Concepts, Methods, and Applications. The Academic Staff College of our University feels much proud and elated as the workshop was done jointly between academic institutions and International Industry collaboration.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) data is high throughput, sophisticated analysis for exponentially higher amounts of data to be generated.NGS analysis is much more efficient and cheaper when compared to traditional Sanger Sequencing. This is made possible by obtaining millions of sequence clusters in parallel and reading the sequences of all of these clusters base by base, through cycles of nucleotide incorporation, fluorescence reading, and dye cleaving. The explosion of experimental data from NGS has driven the need for new paradigms for data computation and knowledge extraction. In this knowledge base, we describe the common formats of NGS raw data files and some downstream analysis of NGS data. The sequence variants/mutations detected by NGS have been widely used for disease diagnosis, prognosis, therapeutic decision, and follow-up of patients

In this regard, the ASC of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute jointly with the above Institutes and industries provides a great platform to learn the NGS Data analysis. Our workshop will allow you to understand the basics of NGS data processing. Its goal is to learn to perform the basic steps of NGS data analysis, including manipulation of raw data, quality control, and removal of low-quality sequences, sequence adapters, artifacts, or other contamination. The result should be a perfect mastery of the process, the output of which is a set of high-quality data that can be used for subsequent analysis.
