INDO-RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CONFERENCE

The 89th Annual Day of Kursk State Medical University of Russian Federation was celebrated with great fervor and academic excellence through the organization of the International Scientific Conference titled "University Science: A Look into the Future.” This groundbreaking event was jointly organized by Kursk State Medical University and Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. Notably, this collaboration marked the first time in history that two esteemed academic institutions from two different nations joined hands to organize an academic event in a hybrid mode, combining physical and virtual participation.

The conference commenced with a warm welcome from Rector Prof. Dr. Lazarenko of KSMU and Vice Rector Dr. Lipatov. The inaugural address was delivered live on the Zoom platform by the esteemed Founder Chancellor, Dr. A. C. Shanmugam. The unveiling of the conference proceedings book was a momentous occasion, carried out by Honorable President Er. ACS Arun Kumar and received by Vice Chancellor Dr. MGR ERI Prof. Dr. S Geethalakshmi, alongside other dignitaries, marking the official commencement of the conference.

The plenary scientific session, themed "Problems of Atherosclerosis," featured three impactful presentations. Notably, the conference witnessed history with the first-ever Indian presentation at the 89th annual conference, delivered by esteemed faculty member & AMRI head, Dr. Shashikala K from RRMC. This presentation attracted over 1000 delegates, highlighting the global significance and reach of the conference. Dr. Samuel Densing was coordinating the conference from KSMU.

Following the plenary session, the conference transitioned into Specialty Symposiums, comprising of 27 sessions. Six of these sessions were conducted in English in a hybrid mode, with moderation by Indian and Russian moderators. Speakers from both nations presented on various topics, contributing to a rich academic exchange. The English sessions covered areas such as Therapy, Pedagogy, Surgery, Pharmacology, Dental Sciences, and Biomedical Engineering, each moderated by experts in the respective fields. Notably, the conference witnessed a participation of more than 1500 attendees, reflecting its success and the widespread interest it generated.
