The University had its humble beginning in the year 1985 as a Polytechnic Institution and aiming to bring about change and progress through education, ambitiously has grown into a multi-faceted University in the year 2003 mapping all the Sustainable Development Goals spread across all the fourteen different faculties under its empowered wings of wisdom.
