Sir C.V. Raman journal club has initiated M-Collaborative Research Cluster in order to satisfy collaborative research publication regulations for NAAC 2020.

Purpose and Objective:

The objective of the MCR Cluster is to publish collaborative research articles in association with other institutes and industries.

Method of working:

Presently 50 Research group under MCR Cluster initiated. Each cluster must have a minimum of four members and the M.G.R staff being the head, This group will do research and publish paper with assistance from one internal and three external staff members. Based on the request from the group head, financial assistance will be provided for research publications.

To Connect the Intellectual minds of ACS Group of colleges and to satisfy The Inter Collaborative Research Publication Regulations for NAAC 2020, The "Sir C.V. Raman Journal Club", proposes to start "A.C.S. CLUSTER".

• Meeting our publication target for NAAC 2020.
• To Encourage Inter Collaborative Research publications.

Method of working:

• All colleges under ACS group of institutions will be the members of this Cluster.
• Each group must have a minimum of three members, each from different institutions under ACS group.
• The Group will do Research and Publish papers.
• Financial assistance will be provided for research publications.

The aim of conducting the meeting through Journal Club is to motivate and encourage the Faculties, Research Scholars and Budding Researchers to do well in their research work and it will reflect in terms of publications, funded projects, patents, etc. there are 30 meetings were conducted through the Sir. C.V. Raman Journal club. Each departmental club is conducting the monthly meeting once in every three months.

The aim of conducting the Department Journal Club Meeting is to connect research faculty, scholars & Students under one umbrella to share expert's research knowledge with the members. It is suggested to conduct quarterly meeting and submit minutes to the Dean Publication Office. Till January 2019, 40 Meetings were conducted under Department Journal club.

Sir. C.V. Raman Journal Club organised events which are related to research, patents, funded projects, etc. to support and evolve the Faculties, Research Scholars and Budding Researchers towards the next level. So that new invention, innovation can be established. CVR JC regularly organize minimum 10 events annually, which will connect all the 20 departments research groups.

Department Journal Clubs organize the events only for the particular department to strengthen the research and patents. It suggested organizing minimum of 2 events annually for the particular department.UG & PG Students, Research Scholars & Faculty Members who connected with research are eligible to participate in the events.

The category of the awards are Founder Chancellor Research Excellence Award, President Award for Research Attainment, Sir C.V Raman Research Publication Premium Award, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Research Publication Award, Thiruvalluvar Award for Literary, J.C. Bose Research Project Award, J.E. Hirseh Research Index Award, Research Collaboration Award, Research Contribution Certificate.
